ANDE BAUMANN, P.T.

Founder & Director | Huntsville Pool & Land Therapy

With more than 42 years of experience in physical therapy, Ande Baumann, P.T., has dedicated her career to helping patients move better, feel stronger, and return to the activities that matter most to them. As the founder and director of Huntsville Pool & Land Therapy, Ande is known for her compassionate, individualized approach and her commitment to providing high-quality therapeutic care in both land-based and aquatic settings.

Ande earned her Bachelor of Health Science degree from the University of Kentucky and went on to supervise the Therapeutic Pool Program at Thoms Rehabilitation Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. In 1987, she initiated one of North Alabama’s early pool therapy programs at Lakeshore North Alabama Rehabilitation Hospital in Huntsville. Her advanced training has included Adaptaed Aquatics, Arthritis Aquatic Program, WATSU® practitioner, Water Safety Instructor, Red Cross–certified First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguard. These credentials along with her Physical Therapy license supports her ability to design safe, effective treatment plans that integrate therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and aquatic therapy tailored to each patient’s needs.

Ande treats a wide range of conditions, including orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain, neurological conditions, balance and gait disorders, arthritis, and pelvic floor dysfunction. Her approach emphasizes evidence-based care, thoughtful progression, and a deep understanding of biomechanics—combined with genuine personal attention.

At the heart of Ande’s practice is the belief that physical therapy should be both clinically excellent and deeply personal. She takes time to understand each patient’s goals, challenges, and lifestyle, creating customized therapy plans that support long-term function, independence, and quality of life. This philosophy continues to shape Huntsville Pool & Land Therapy’s mission: physical therapy with a personal touch.

Our team plays an essential role in delivering the high level of care our patients expect. From hands-on therapy to friendly, efficient front-office coordination, each team member is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive experience while helping patients feel confident, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their therapy journey.
